This questionnaire has been designed to give you an insight into working at TNT and what sorts of people succeed here. We hope it helps you decide whether we would make a good match and if you should apply. The questionnaire is purely for your own use, so answer as honestly as you can.

For each of the following questions there are four answer options, there is no right or wrong, just different ways in which you might respond to the question. Choose only one answer option that best describes how you would react in the given situation.

1. You have been informed that tomorrow will be an exceptionally busy day due to an unexpected increase in the volume of work. How would you react?
a) Come in a little earlier than usual
b) Ask for the day off
c) Wherever possible complete urgent tasks and prepare for the next day
d) Come in at your usual prompt starting time

2. A colleague in your team has reported in sick and you are asked to cover their duties rather than your own. What is your response?
a) You agree and start immediately
b) You recommend that in future cover is planned to ensure there are arrangements in place should this arise again
c) You decline, explaining that you prefer to stay in your usual work area
d) You agree, ensuring your normal duties are covered

3. You notice that one of your colleagues does not appear to be coping with their workload. What do you do?
a) Bring it to your manager's attention and let them deal with it
b) Discuss it with your colleagues and choose somebody in the team to speak to them
c) Have a quiet word with them
d) Hope it sorts itself out

4. You notice a £20 note on the floor at work. What do you do?
a) Hand the money to your line manager advising where it was found
b) Pick the money up and try to find the owner
c) Leave the money where it is as the owner may return for it
d) Pick it up and celebrate your good fortune

5. You have an idea you believe would improve the way work in your area is carried out. What do you do?
a) Keep the idea to yourself because it may not be right
b) Discuss it with your manager
c) Tell your colleagues about the idea and see what they think
d) Write up your idea and put it in the staff suggestion box

6. A call from a customer has mistakenly been put through to you, they are very angry because they have been unable to speak to the correct department. What do you do?
a) Deal with the query the best you can
b) Apologise, take their name and number. Ensure someone that can help promptly calls them back
c) Tell them it's not your responsibility and forward the call again
d) Ask them to call back later when someone else will be able to help them

7. You are trying to do something new which you consider to be within your capabilities and make a mistake. What do you do?
a) Give up and put it down to experience
b) Try and patch up your mistake, as no one will know
c) Go back to the beginning and try to work out what went wrong

8. What phrase best describes your attitude to a task?

9. You have been asked to deliver a parcel and on arrival the customer complains about the service they have received. What do you do?
a) Obtain details of the complaint and pass it to Customer Services
b) On your return pass it to someone else
c) Listen attentively, explain the actions you will take and ensure a prompt response
d) Inform them that it's impossible to get things right all the time

10. Your team has been challenged with helping to raise funds for a good cause. How would you help?
a) Suggest an event and offer your direct support
b) Participate in the event
c) Become involved if approached
d) Other commitments prevent any involvement
